    @Fullypresent,

    Blame or fault doesn't matter.

    The victim is still hit.

    Never assume the driver will see you and stop.

    Being hit is preventable.

    When you are with a group crossing in a cross walk with the green light very few people look to see if someone is going to run a red light. This kind of accident is unusual.

    worf. Don't blame the victims. The driver is completely at fault. Pedestrians need to look before they cross especially I'm Utah where red lights, stop signs, crossing rails mean nothing to many drivers. They may have looked and had it happen right after.

    Condolences to the victims and to this young man and his family. He will have to live with what he did the rest of his life.

    So many people cross streets without looking, assuming cars will stop.

    No one would be hit if they would just look before crossing. Yes! Even if the driver is at fault. Don't assume they will stop.
