If the past month or so hasn't convinced us that we have a major moral problem in our country, then we're not paying attention. Politician after politician, one rich and famous person after another, has been accused of some form of sexual deviancy. And it's a problem in our schools. You keep hearing about this teacher or that official who have been arrested for having child pornography on his/her computer or for having an inappropriate relationship with a student. For our country to be strong, we need more than a strong military. We need leaders and citizens with strong moral values. We seem to be losing values. History has shown that moral weakness leads to the downfall of otherwise powerful civilizations. We seem to be moving in that direction.

Remorseful? In the 1960s, there was a phrase of, the devil made me do it. Now, this is the first I have heard that drugs make you do it.

Personal responsibility is important for people who hold positions of authority and power.

Unfortunately, Presidential example does set the model for our nation. Even the Judge wanting to be a US Senator has some reason allegations are surfacing.

Opiate addiction led him to believe there was nothing inappropriate about the arrangement with the then-16-year-old? Sounds like something a defense attorney would dream up for an excuse.
