@GaryO. You need a course in reading comprehension. You read between the lines of what I posted and immediately collected $200 without passing "Go". In fact you went the wrong way on the board!

I never said that there aren't hypocrites in conservative circles who consume pornography and other vices whilst pretending to be something else.

What I said is that you will find very few republicans in the porn industry as it relates to actors, producers, promoters etc. I doubt you'd even research it because you are the one who is likely not being honest with yourself.

Same with prison populations. Why else do you think the dems are trying so hard to make it possible for convicted felons and general prisoners to be able to vote during election cycles? It isn't their concern that every vote should be heard.

@Thid Barker: "President Trump explained that his remarks were just locker room talk and never happened!"

    Trump either committed sexual assault and bragged about it because he thought it would impress people;
    Or
He lied, claiming he committed sexual assault because he thought it would impress people.

    On or the other.

Either way, he thought bragging about committing sexual assault was impressive.

And the family values crowd makes excuses and cheers him on.

Imagine a young man, sitting in your living room waiting to take your daughter out, trying to impress you with that same locker room talk.

"They all have to go. Rose, Franken, Weinstein, Trump and the dimestore cowboy Moore."

I really wish Franken would resign. To me that would say a lot about his integrity. Maybe in the future behavior like his won't merit the "death penalty," but I think it does now. And by resigning he could actually be a champion of the cause he claims to support.

    @ Anti-Trump

"The Republican Party has turned from the party of 'family values', to the party of child molesters and sexual abusers..."

Yes, the "P" in "GOP" is in danger of standing for something other than "Party," isn't it.

The trappings of fame and celebrity can engender a "I'm the best thing that has ever happened to you" mentality. Charlie Rose seems to have been perniciously affected by this mindset.

I was in a relationship once with someone who also had this mentality. Ego and accomplishments affected this person's focus towards what was meaningful and important. Looking back, I should have resisted the allure. It is very difficult when selfish goals of an abuser manipulate one's desire to move forward in this world.

It must be tough being a republican now days. I mean you have those higher moral and families values and you have to try and find a way to justify supporting Roy Moore and Donald Trump. I laugh when I read republicans lecturing others about innocent until proven guilty. You mean like with Bill Clinton and all of his accusers? You say that Al Franken should be because he admitted to inappropriate behavior one time yet you support Donald Trump who also admitted to inappropriate behavior on a regular basis and 13 women have corroborated what he said. Oh wait that was "locker room talk" I forgot. You hammer Harvey Weinsten and believe his accusers, but you discredit the Roy Moore accusers because it has been 40 years or Donald Trump accusers because they haven't taken him to court.

You condemn previous adulter Presidents, but you give this one a pass. You thump your bible and condemn others but you justify the mote in your own eye. I became a republican in the 90's because I thought they had a higher moral standing, not so today. It is time to get off your moral high horse and admit you are no better than the democrats you condemn.

You will find Republican immersed up to their eyeballs in porn.

"Utahns, famous for their wholesomeness and frugality, buy online pornography at higher rates than the rest of America." - Deseret News

Try to be honest with yourself. Stop pretending.

The Party of Pretense only PRETENDS to be the Party of Personal Responsibility. The GOP only PRETENDS to be the Party of Family Values. And they PRETEND to be Christians.

Republicans exalt in greed and avarice and happily pass on their debt to the future. Republicans want low taxes now and are happy to let their children and grandchildren pick up their slack. And look at their stand on global warming. They don't seem to care about the safety and security of future generations.

The Party of Pretense can only pretend.

Man up and stop pretending. At least be honest with YOURSELF.

The folks in Utah's 3rd congressional district disagree with you Anti-Trump. They wanted someone who would represent their family values and that is why Kathie Allen only got 26% of the votes.

Probably why Mia Love will easily win re-election in Utah's Utah's 4th congressional district. She represents the thinking of a majority of the voters in her district.

@Anti-Trump "The Republican Party has turned from the party of "family values", to the party of child molesters and sexual abusers..."

While that statement, comically, is completely inside-out as it relates to how things really are-- if it were true the democrats should be incensed because perversions of all kinds have always been their domain, and a large portion of their voting base. You will find very few republicans in the porn industry and in general prison populations.

Sure there are some bad actors on the republican side. They will be rooted out.

But, as it stands folks like you want to convict first, and try in court last.

    Go figure.

    Poor Charlie Rose.

All he did was walk around naked in front of young women. And what a beautiful body!

That was just his way of expressing his admiration for them. And they OBVIOUSLY didn't mind. He was doing them a favor.

How in the world could they take offense at that now?!

What seems to be lost in the present debate is the fact that there are ambitious women who ask, "Who do you have to sleep with around here to get ahead?"

They are out there and they are prospering.

    It takes two.

We are focusing on the "unwanted advances" here but ought not ignore this problem.

We're living in the age of PC. And, for some reason, the women are coming out of the woodwork with sexual complaints past and present against high profile men. It also looks like the man is guilty and has to prove his innocence. The mere stating of something inappropriate being said or done is enough to end his career. The fact that some of these allegations are in the distant past doesn't seem to matter much. What if we find out a politician did something in grade school to a girl in his class? Should he be held to the same standard as a politician who has done something while in office? Are the 16 women who accused Trump going after him or does he get a pass?

You want to explain how a woman "proves" she was groped, or molested in private, even though it was unwelcome and unwanted?

The only reasonable standard....if you have any moral character.. is a least a preponderance of evidence. Roy Moore, and Donald Trump have had multiple (over a dozen), accusers all tell similar stories. Many if not most (or all) would be believed by a person of character.

And yes in the light of a new era it makes Bill Clinton look vastly different.

Is sexual misconduct the product of increased objectification? Yes.
Does porn cause objectification of men and women? Yes.
Do men and women understand that dis-robing for the camera is almost entirely responsible for this epidemic of objectification? Some do. Most don't.
Does our population have a problem with pornography addiction? Yes.
I see peoples awareness of the problem but wholly lacking in their ability to connect the problem with the increase in lewd crude and rude media.

Talk about projecting onto others dude. Dems have been calling them out? LOL.

C.K & Weinstein et al-- were known as predators for a long, long time. Nobody was "calling them out".

It is only now, when they have been knocked down by just a couple of brave people, and one reporter that those so called "dems calling them out" suddenly have garnered the "bravery" to condemn them?

The other guys already have acknowledged they are guilty because there is indisputable proof. Roy Moore hasn't plead guilty and there is no proof. If there is proof let's see it. Then most conservatives would knock him down.

O'Reilly, and Ailes? What happened them? They lost their positions and prestige. Do you want conservatives to put out a hit on them too in order to prove to folks like you how seriously they take this?
