Just because it was bothering me... a couple of fact checks...

Bingham has 73 runs against 42 given up in region

AF has 94 runs against 48 given up in region

Your numbers were a little off....

Oh, and I'm definitely not a "Utah county guy for sure", as I grew up out of state. To me, I see little difference between the two counties... but hey, I'm not from here. Lol

I didn't think I contradicted myself at all & I know for a fact that AF's players and coaches aren't making any excuses. I thought I gave Bingham it's due, got nothing but respect for your team.

My only point was the author saying the Miners will undoubtedly be the favorites to win it all. If you're basing it off of the last 8 innings of play, sure.... but I think it's safe to say there's some doubt, maybe just not by you...

The pitcher who didn't go holds a 1.65 ERA in league play, and 0.956 in his 4 league starts... and has 8 walks on the year in 30.1 innings. Nothing wrong mentioning that... he didnt pitch in the series but will in the tournament... it has an impact. That's the only point I'm making.

I don't see the bulletin board material.

Contradicting your self much there Wasatchreb???????

Give Bingham credit, then disregard it because of this and that?!?! a pitching injury, our closer had to do another day, why didn't you throw game three starter yesterday??

Fawlks yesterday pitched well, AF had only 3 Hits yesterday, and pitched solid, bingham just managed to get a couple of runs playing bingham baseball.
Bingham has scored 84 runs to AF 77 this region season... both teams can score.. but binghams pitchers have given up only 38 runs in region to AF- 59, PITCHING WINS and bingham has two good leftys with some solid Righties.

AF is very Good!!! They will bring it today vs Bingham and it will be another great game. This whole region is Tough, and Bingham knows this but make sure you know this is bulletin material for bingham today to go out and try to complete the sweep!

Either way they are REGION CHAMPS! and I'm sure will see AF in the 4th round of the winners bracket buddy!

    Utah county guy for sure!
Go Miners! SATO IS A LEGEND!

It'll be a toss up for the state title in my opinion... Yesterday, AF's regular starter was out rehabbing an ankle.

... & the first game, on Monday, was all but won by AF when they gave up 9 runs in top half of the final inning, as the closers struggled, and AF's surest-handed closer (soph, Rhineer) wasn't able to throw because he was tabbed to start yesterday in place of AF's injured pitcher (Sr., Barney).

No excuses... Bingham came to play both games, and took region..it wasn't given to them, they took it, and are an impressive team.

...but to put Bingham as an undoubted favorite to win the state title just means you haven't followed the teams/games closely enough. Very similar teams, in my opinion. Both well coached, both have good pitching , good offenses, & good defenses...

I'm pretty sure Bingham and their fans realize these are two evenly matched teams... and they have to know how fortunate they are to have won the region yesterday, instead of playing for it today (1 v 1, Hardman 1.89 vs Jones 2.12)... you could feel it when they were down 3 & 3 outs away from losing the first game. It must feel a little magical to them, because that game's end was an anomaly.
