    I really thought THIS was their year. They were just a quality outside hitter shy of taking them over the top. This year they had Fernandez who filled the shoes of Ben Patch nicely, but they just didn’t have anyone who could remotely replace Jake Langlois with his height, his presence at the net and his killer serve. It was really just Sander and Fernandez who were the force of the offense. Even then, if they would have just played a little better than their average they could have taken it all. They just picked a really bad time to have a really bad game in the semifinals. I’m still in mourning. They had their best chance this year than they’ve had in 7 or 8 years.

    BYU MVB had a great season. Winning the MPSF regular and tournament championships are both significant achievements.

    The fact that we’re “disappointed” in BYU only making it to the national semi-finals simply shows how high the bar has been set for this elite program.
