"KF’s injury history dropped him from a certain 2-3 rd draft pick"

Injuries are a part of the game.

Who cares where KF "would have been drafted", the only thing that matters is where he was drafted.

The star and only member of Utah's 2018 NFL draft class was drafted three rounds and 111 players after BYU's Fred Warner.

When it comes to the 2018 NFL draft, the numbers are irrefutable:

BYU > Weber St > Utah

    Utah mid-pac-major forever!

    Go Cougars!

“had their only player taken in the 3rd round.”

Means absolutely nothing when comparing these 2....KF’s injury history dropped him from a certain 2-3 rd draft pick....Teams also select predominantly/needs.

We had more draftees just last yr than byu’s had in the last decade, collectively.

byu-p fans mustering a faint whimper regarding The NFL Draft is priceless & also way out of their league.

Besides, w/the amount of youth on our roster this last yr & sheer # of kids declaring/returning, we were never going to duplicate our previous yr.

byu-p has no such excuse....They merely reached their annual maximum potential threshhold.

Schools represented on ‘17 opening day rosters—

    U—31

    usu—13

    byu-p—11

    Ouch!

    Go Utes!

I wish this former UofU player well in making the NFL, however, based on this year's draftees and UFAs, Utah fans would be wise to cool it for awhile.

Do the math: a team you guys barely beat, that ended up a dismal 4-9 had their only player taken in the 3rd round.

    Misleading headline:

"Had he been healthier more of the time, to me, he was a second or third round value."

So you don't believe that Whit's opinion is valid?

Smart fan, especially given the fact that KF has only recorded 26 tackles and 6 tackles for loss in the last two seasons combined.

Compared to Fred Warner's 173 tackles and 32.5 tackles for loss in the last two seasons, it's easy to see why FW was a 3rd round pick and why KF barely squeaked into the 6th round.

Nagging injury issues are always a concern. Sometimes players overcome them, and sometimes they lead to careers ending before they get started.

And Alabama had 12 players drafted.

See the difference. BYU, Utah, USU are not even close to being great.

Certainly no Utah school has bragging rights about being "dominant" when only 1 player each from BYU and UofU and none from USU are drafted. It would be good if fans for each team stick to cheering on their own team and stop denigrating each other. That poor behavior has now reared its ugly head at Jazz games. The state of Utah ought to lead the way instead of sliding into the slime.
