    "Actually they have proven this century. They've reached one more Sweet Sixteen than your team, right?"

    It doesn't matter how many time you reach a certain mark, if you don't exceed the mark, it's still not any closer.

    The Utes haven’t proven anything this century. Utah hasn’t gotten any closer to reaching the Final Four this century, than BYU.

    It will take having two NBA players and at least one more solid player to have a realistic shot. That will happen in Utah at least once every 5-10 years. Chances are even that the Utes will get there again in the next 10-15 years.

    The Utes might want to worry about beating the lowly WCC Cougars before they think about another final 4.

    That is seriously the best (and funniest) comment I have ever read on this board. Way to go!

    @Snack WAC:

    LOL! From the fan of a team that holds the dubious record of most tournament appearances without a sniff of the final 4! In fact, its is now nearly 4 decades from your team's last appearance in the Elite 8. IIRC, your team also holds the record for most one-and-dones also. Their pathetic NCAA tournament record reflects it.

    Utah has a good history of success in basketball and is building one in football.

    The odds get even better, if the one and done rule is thrown out by the NCAA.

    You're referring to another in-state team, right?

    What about Coach K's one and done rule? A lot of turnover on his teams...

    Cool your cookies. Trying winning a game in a tournament, and beating the WCC in the postseason.

    Any one can say their team has a shot in the post season. It's only legit for about 30 teams each year.
