The prayer of a faithful father is what saved Alma the Younger, or at least set
him on the path to repentance. His father had to be one amazing man. I
remember once as an LDS missionary walking in downtown Robertsdale, Alabama when
my spirit was so downcast and sorrowful. Emotionally, I was at my wit's
end, totally drained. All of a sudden, with zero effort on my part, an
immediate and overwhelming sense of relief flooded over me; I felt as if the
weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. The sensation was so powerful
I could feel it physically and not just emotionally. I have often wondered if
perhaps my mom or dad or a family member was praying for me at that very moment.
Truly, our Heavenly Father is good.I like the following truth: God
answers ALL prayers....Sometimes it is "Yes, that would be an
excellent blessing to receive and I will grant it immediately."Sometimes it is "Yes, that would be an excellent blessing to receive but
not just yet."And finally, "I have something BETTER in mind
for you."Keep the faith.
