The prayer of a faithful father is what saved Alma the Younger, or at least set him on the path to repentance. His father had to be one amazing man. I remember once as an LDS missionary walking in downtown Robertsdale, Alabama when my spirit was so downcast and sorrowful. Emotionally, I was at my wit's end, totally drained. All of a sudden, with zero effort on my part, an immediate and overwhelming sense of relief flooded over me; I felt as if the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. The sensation was so powerful I could feel it physically and not just emotionally. I have often wondered if perhaps my mom or dad or a family member was praying for me at that very moment. Truly, our Heavenly Father is good.

I like the following truth: God answers ALL prayers....

Sometimes it is "Yes, that would be an excellent blessing to receive and I will grant it immediately."

Sometimes it is "Yes, that would be an excellent blessing to receive but not just yet."

And finally, "I have something BETTER in mind for you."

    Keep the faith.
