People with basketball minds love this trade. Hood was only healthy for half of his games and then he was either hot or cold. He will be what he is and has been. Crowder did not like much being traded to the Cavs but his dad played for the Jazz and he will be a great fit . The current Jazz win streak was four games in when the injured Hood came back. Wont have the pressure in Cleveland. Hope Johnson goes to the Warriors. And yes Rose was just fill in and will never wear the Jazz uniform.

Hard to move forward taking steps backwards.

With the Jazz ability to mess up a great opportunity I bet we will soon see Snyder acting like the consummate pro Joe Johnson and asking to be released.

How did Cleveland trading pieces like Derrick Rose all of a sudden become the best equipped team in the East?

Dennis Lindsay hello!!!!!!!!! It means the players were all there to make a run for the finals and the Jazz got a small slice of the wedding cake and that is all.

This season the Jazz had at least 7 players they could afford to trade with...and they still have 6 of them and further now from a playoff picture.

Come on Miller family it behooves you to get a gm that is a mover and shaker and someone who is not emotionally spent trading away Johnson and Hood.

Jae Crowder's play is a perfect fit for the Jazz. I expect to see him quickly become another fan favorite. The guy is tough as nails and is going to flourish in the Jazz system. While he is only averaging 9 points per game with Cleveland, that will change in Utah, once he catches onto Snyder's offensive scheme.

Best of luck to Rodney Hood, may your career in Cleveland be a successful one.

Not too sure about this one. I get we would have lost hood in the summet, bit you could have signed a crowder type player in the summer with all the free agents. This hurts a 7 game win streak and a push for playoffs. If you dont make the playoffs and lose favors in summer it hurts your chances to score a good free agent to go on a team coming off a season not in the playoffs. What is with paying off rose for cleveland? Why would the jazz do that? For crowder? Not sure about helping cavs more. I understand joe johnson would have wanted 11 mill buyout today from the jazz, just sucks seeing 25 plus avg of bench players be traded for 9 pts a game. Sounds of it jazznation wanted hood out for inconsistency so now we get the so consistent alec bricks thru next year to take his place for now. And after that now that the always hirt hood is gone we can get the never hurt exum to replace him. Today was a step back for sure, crowders d is great but we lost out and helped another super team again in a small market. Hood will be an east allstar soon and every jazz fan will be like dang how did he get so good and score 40 on us lastnight.
