Bounced back to 5-5 in an average conference?
    Impressive.

When you are 4-4 and playing AT 2 top 25 teams; yes it is. Not to mention how close they came to a sweep. The PAC 12 is ranked #6 out of 33 conferences = Average. By the way, the WCC is #11. Don't let facts and stats get in the way of your anger though. Sheeeesh!

The Utes are playing well and are fun to watch. I'm going to enjoy whatever games they have left and am hopeful that they get a shot in a post season tourney.

"And a #47 RPI is a good starting point to work their way into the NCAA Tourney."

    What makes you think so?

The Utes aren't even a bubble team right now, so Utah would have to win and the bubble teams would have to lose in order for the Utes to overtake them, and the Utes could easily lose 3 or 4 more games:

@Colorado (has already beaten Arizona, ASU and UCLA)
vs Stanford (has already beaten UCLA, USC, Washington and ASU)
@Washington (has already beaten USC and Colorado)
vs USC (has already beaten Utah, Colorado and Stanford)
    vs Colorado

    Bottom line:

    - 5 of Utah's 8 remaining games are just as losable as they are winnable
    - none of the 5 will be push overs
    - Utah's margin for error is already razor thin, even if the Utes win out

And, let's not forget that USC and Washington will both be fighting for their own NCAA bids and seeds, so it's unlikely that the Utes will catch either of them napping.

This week's game at Colorado could end any hopes of a second half of the conference season comeback for the Utes.

Utes are a much better team now compared to non-conference play. And a #47 RPI is a good starting point to work their way into the NCAA Tourney. Go Utes!

    Poor games?

    Worfs law of sports:

"For every winning team,--there's an equal amount of losing teams".

A losing team could have played very well.

As a Cougar fan, I would love to have Sedrick on the team. Great young talent who is only going to get better and give Ute Nation some special moments in coming years. Love watching Barefield play. Utah has some great players who play hard and are fun to watch. Good luck Utes.

Now if the Utes can just find a way to start the game better, rather than falling behind by 6-12 points within the first few minutes. . .
