"Arizona has a bunch of four-star recruits. Utah has a bunch of transfers and a three star recruit. Arizona could barely beat Utah twice, there’s not much separation between these two teams."

Why do Utah fans fail to apply this same logic to BYU/Utah football?

Head to head, there's not much separation between the two teams.

    At but seriously folks

This coming from the guy who claimed Utah didn’t have a snowballs chance in . . . Of beating Arizona

    Good Grief

You just can’t take some people serious

You can make a negative comment about the Utes and not be a BYU fan. I never went to BYU so there is no PAC 12 envy. I am a PAC 12 observer and the PAC 12 is overrated as usual.

I used the BYU comparison because we always hear how BYU is so terrible and yet the mighty PAC 12 Utes lost to the pathetic WCC Cougars.

As a lifelong resident of this state and an alum of Utah and Utah State I will say this though.

BYU will always be the big brother in Utah. Ute fans and Aggie fans will ensure that with their never ending obsession of all things BYU. If the PAC 12 is so great why do so many Ute fans spend so much time talking about BYU? The Ute fans should be more worried about Arizona and Arizona St. than BYU. But they aren't and never will be and it is embarrassing and it is why BYU will always be the big brother.

    Cjd1,
Way to go claiming that the utes would wipe the floor with BYU if they played today. I'm guessing that if they played in football BYU would wipe the field with the utes?

Sounds like good logic. Well done.

A lot of little brothers from down South obsessing on this comment board. Can't say I blame them though.

    @Brave Sir Robin

No, Arizona was not lucky. Their quality at every position ended up shining through. Utah led with 3:00 to go and AZ scored 5 straight points. That's called hitting shots when it matters...something we can't do consistently.

    --------

Those 5 points included a 3 pointer from Ristic who went 3/3 from the 3. Before this game he was 0 for 5.

If that's not luck, then why did Sean Miller look so disquested at the last 3 point shot Ristic made?

Arizona is the better team, they have the better talent. This weel, Utah showed they can compete, lets see if this continues to be true.

Terrible refs. The utes should not plan on anymore Oscar awards for the best flop. Good grief.
The Wildcats played terrible and still won. Well done wildcats.

    -----

BYU fans crying about refs for Arizona? LOL

Arizona played so terrible, shotting 63% from the 3 and 62% overall.

You better hope Pacific doesn't shoot like that, BYU will be taken to the woodshed.

The PAC 12 is the most overrated conference in the country in basketball and football year in and year out.

Arizona and Arizona St. have trouble handling the Utes who got easily handled by the 3rd place WCC team.

I'm tired of hearing about the parity in the PAC 12. There is definitely parity but parity can mean the teams are evenly bad.
    _____

More PAC12 envy from a bitter BYU fan.
It was fun to watch the Utes comeback. Almost pulled it off and won.
I can't remember the last time BYU staged a comeback and won. Well, other than the game against Bob's Custodial Academy.

We would be in the top 10 if the Refs wouldn't have cost us so many games this year ....

Kind of sad to see everyone bagging on Utah after such a good hard effort, especially so-called Utah fans. Good grief

I like this team, and I believe in this team. Good things to come going forward, the schedule gets easier. Go Utes

Tough loss for the Utes and Ute Nation. I told you this Cougar fan would be cheering for you and I did! I still want Barefield to play on my team, That guy has game! Keep playing like this Utah and good things will happen for you. Nice game today!

Utes playing better and better each week. Utes at #50RPI will make NCAA Tourney this year. If Utes played BYU now they would blow them away instead of previously a warmup game for conference play.

Utes played well but came up so short. I think Tillman was pushed but those are also tough calls to get in the closing seconds of the game. You don't expect to see opposing 7 footers draining 3s and an undersized Ute squad controlled the paint. The Ute bball team mimics the Ute football team in several ways. A bit of rebuilding, some talented transfers, and while good (and sometimes very good) -- just not consistently great. One can only wonder if Kuz was playing out his senior year what this team might look like???

Arizona was lucky to win today, Utah took away the paint and Arizona needed their 7 footers to shoot 4/4 from the three.

Utah is playing much better. We we continue playing like this, there's no reason why we can't finish in the PAC-12 top 4.
