I once talked to someone who knew first hand that Stockton and Malone not only played with bruises and nagging injuries--they made sure other players did too. Malone would see someone nursing a boo boo prior to a game and simply say, "Suit up. You're playing." John Stockton was 6 foot nuthin' and took so much punishment that other players, rather than admitting they were out toughed by a point guard, would sometimes call him a dirty player, which he certainly was not. Naturally this toughness rubbed off on other players, because if they didn't miss games, neither did you. I simply ask: where is that on this team?

Oh dear, Rodney has a Bo-Bo again. I wonder how many leg contusions kept Stockton or Malone on the bench?

So sitting here watching the Jazz game against the Hawks. Rubio hasn't hit a shot and I guess the talk is about a possible Hood trade. Wings that shoot like Hood are in big demand. Let's face it certain teams are not big players in the NBA. Hawks, Kings, Grizzles, Magic and Jazz. Don't get me wrong Gail Miller is a wonderful woman and she love to have a championship for Larry and the fans. The facts are the facts and we never be serious players in the NBA. So Denis Lindsay will package Hood and Flavors maybe for a late 1st or 2nd and a couple of throw in players that probably be released. We be in the lottery again and probably trade that away for a 1 year rental. Maybe we just start our rebuild again around Mitchell and Gobert. Anyway it is the best game in town! Go Jazz! 😊

Might the leg contusion be a convenient excuse to keep Rodney Hood from getting injured before they trade him? As you point out, he doesn't seem to be very tough and a serious injury would blow any potential trade.

Also, with Hood out, it gives the Jazz the opportunity to see how the team plays without him. They have already won one game without him — could they now make it two?

I like Rodney. I would never boo the guy, but I don't like how he is always out with a bruise. I don't mean to question his toughness, but I thought bruises were just part of the game. Seems like something else is going on here. The team needs him, but it's hard to count on him. I feel bad about the whole situation. It seems like he does really well about 1 out of 3 games.

Seems as if he is always hurt. You can't score on the bench.
