I don't know why he would be so concerned about rest. After all, these are ute players and the most elite players on the planet. They should not need rest as they are far superior to anyone else in or out of the conference.

"There nobody more obsessed with BYU fans than U."

Says the coog fan obsessed with the Utes. Hah!

Wow! Lot's of BYU-P fans weighing in here.

Good to know you all care that much.

It is not desirable to play all these Sunday games. Coach K knows and so do the players. Money is key in PAC 12 so the Utes must play. PAC 12 set the worst bowl record in football for a conference in history so they are desperate to keep sports contracts. Expect less lucrative contracts in future.

Not sure if it had anything to do with the Sunday game, the fact it was the Utes in town, or USC basketball just isn't that popular but 4800 in attendance? That's worse than several of the BYU games in 'the tiny cracker-jack box gyms of the WCC' that we're told about quite often by Ute fans. What a poor showing.

Maybe having a day of rest built into the schedule every week isn't such a bad idea after all,

    a gift, if you will,

providing real respite from the rigors of daily life and an opportunity for spiritual and physical renewal.

I understand coach k's concern with multiple Thur/Sun games, which makes it difficult to give players a day off to unwind and regenerate.

Is this concern shared by other conference members or is this just another example of television scheduling coming at the expense of the student athletes?

That’s the downside of being in the PAC 12. Tough luck. I guess things aren’t always so rosy in the P5. Bottom of the conference and have to play on Sunday.

He has issues with so many Sunday games? Well, I have issues with the Utes starting EVERY game by digging themselves into a hole that they can’t come back from. I believe he doesn’t have his priorities in order.

Give him a couple of the old 11 pm. start times from the MWC, then he’d have something to complain about. He loses four in a row and he complains about Sunday games?

"I'm confused. Why he is complaining about playing on Sunday? Isn't there another day he can give the players off?"
It's not so much the Sunday thing as it is playing on Thur and then waiting until Sun for the second game of a trip versus playing on Saturday. If it were Fri/Sun or Thur/Sat then it's a non-topic.

80K crying about another injustice. This coach is so worth the entertainment value he brings to this state. Hill should sign him to a lifetime contract.

I guess Sunday play would just be yet another excuse.
Yes, BYU has it right. I'm sure the founder of the u would be truly disappointed to know that his 2nd university would cave to big money to be in a conference that has no problem playing on the Sabbath. Sign of the times i guess.

I'm confused. Why he is complaining about playing on Sunday? Isn't there another day he can give the players off? This is as weird as cancelling the series with BYU...which BYU fans saw through as completely bogus as it was...then he covers for Dr. Hill's tirade, now this...this is weird, I don't get it. Does BYU have it right about Sunday play?
