An inherit problem exist with anything pertaining to the LDS Church and ALL
others. God said many things about many things that are in the Old Testament
and any other writings, stories, and references. Then God SENT his son Jesus to
teach us "NEW" laws to live by. Christ ended, changed, removed, and
revised some of God's laws. In that process he gave us "NEW Laws".
God said he will recognize only those marriage done "Under"
him (God) as by his law. HE (God) will NOT recognize any marriage NOT done under
him or by his law. This is mentioned in D&C 132. Some Churches and other
Faiths believe in similar fashion. That means that any marriage SSM,
Gay, Straight, or other done "Civilly" are NOT recognized by God or by
his law. Therefore are NOT "Under God" as most anti-gay and SSM object
to. Why should we be concerned with any marriage not recognized by God? That
leads us to an interesting question or issue. What of marriages and SSM that are
done by a Faith or Church that condones, supports, and conducts SSM? Christ gave
us our Agency and the 11th AoF reinforces it. Christ told us there are severe
punishments for denying someone of their agency. Are we denying agency?
She went against the word of the lord.. Christianity is not a popularity
contest... if it was it never would have got off the ground... do you know how
many martyrs their were in the first century...
"The lady preacher should join a new faith tradition, presumably one that
does not discriminate."Using the word "discriminate" is
in itself pejorative. I was discriminated against in high school when I was cut
from the varsity basketball team simply because I had little athletic ability.
Any organization, including a church, with rules or doctrine will
"discriminate" against someone who does not follow their rules.
unrepentant progressiveMoral standards are, by nature and
definition, discriminatory. The lady preacher is in a tradition which
recognizes the difference between love (agape) and relativism --something which
seems to have been lost on the "politically correct" crowd. The concept
of paths "up" the mountain also presumes and implies that there are
paths "down" the mountain.
The lady preacher should join a new faith tradition, presumably one that does
not discriminate. There are many paths up the mountain. Try a

If they are progressive enough to ordain a woman pastor, why can't accept a

Accusing a particular individual of having "forgotten what Christ said and
did" is a personal attack. I am surprised and disappointed that such a
comment was approved and published.
Most churches are finding enlightenment over oppressive traditions and
@L&L;Many people, like yourself, have forgotten what Christ said
@ Light and Liberty"Many churches are lost to the persuasions of
societal relativity."More and more humans are coming around to
the idea, revealed to us by science, that variations on sexual orientation occur
naturally and that it's unhealthy to compel or coerce people to go against
their nature.Another example of how science can lead us higher and
how religion can retard.
Many churches are lost to the persuasions of societal relativity.
