Kudos to both of these fine men for lending their names and energies to programs that help young people.

    Amazing.
Both examples of work performed by these family foundations show what simple things can be done to truly change someones life.

I have never really understood Foster Parenting. Hearing groups ask for money so foster kids can get school supplies, clothes or other necessity's led me to ask why the money the foster parent get hasnt been used for those items. Foster parenting shouldnt be a way for someone to earn their own living (maybe make some contribution to home expenses but that is after the kids necessitys are taken care of).

Ngata was a great Oregon Duck and we loved him here in Baltimore as a Raven.

Two class acts. If Alex Smith leaves the NFL in a few years without a title, his legacy of a great person who leveraged his fame and talents for the greater good is secure.
