Looking forward to seeing "Darkest Hour" and reading several reviews, it appears the movie seeks to take an omniscient look at Churchill, combining events, even adding some fictional scenes, to make the point. It appears to be historically accurate from a viewpoint of today, knowing ahead of time what events will take place and how they will play out. So if the history is portrayed out of order in the movie, the effect may be to help the viewer feel the desperate situation the world and Churchill were in, and find hope in his or her own difficulties. That would be the value of seeing the movie. That there is a higher power overseeing world events should not be overlooked or undervalued.
