    Irony!
I find it ironic that the article directly above this one is titled: "Utah Jazz learn they can compete against any team during brutal six-game road trip", and yet, and as mentioned, the next article down is this one having the title: "Donovan Mitchell-less Utah Jazz get blown out by Oklahoma City Thunder". Is that kind of an oxymoron?

To be clear, I am a big Jazz fan. I love the game. I suppose the word "brutal", when referring to a six-game road trip is appropriate within the context of the subject matter. However, I would like to make a few comparisons, if I may.

    BRUTAL vs NOT BRUTAL

    Sleeping in a fox hole - vs - a 5-star hotel.
Eating MRE's - vs - steak, lobster, etc.
Being shot at by hostile forces - vs - Slapped on the arm going to the rim.
Not seeing your family for months at a time (even Christmas) - vs - Not an issue.
Working in the hot desert in full gear - vs - "Playing" in a climate controlled building.
Bullets screaming past your head - vs - Fans screaming your name (good or bad).
Being carried from the battle field with a bullet hole in your gut - vs - Sprained ankle.
Traveling to work in a bumpy Humvee - vs - Chartered jet.
All of the above on about $30,000 a year - vs - Need I mention the outrageous contracts and endorsements?

Let's just keep things in perspective and remember our fighting men and women who live with "BRUTAL" 24 hours a day. Merry Christmas to our Armed Forces. God be with all of you and your families.

    And also...Go Jazz!!
