Ftblfanatic, I get what you are saying, it seams lone peak got slighted on all State pics, just wondering how you figure they were third, unless the losers of the semi final games got together and played there is no third place team. I do feel Lone Peak was better than Herriman and should of at least had as many All State picks

@trunorth3, in 2 different articles you have commented that Mr Football should have been from Bingham, could you please tell us who on Bingham's team deserved it more than Cammon Cooper? Bingham was great again this year, with many incredible players, but who individually had a better year than Cammon, just curious who you would have picked.

One is East, One is Bingham. I think everyone knows who is who.

    @markymark

As someone who clearly has a history of attempting to discredit East High players and possibly other schools, I wouldn't say that Bingham "Absolutely Handled every D-Lineman" on this list. You obviously have some kind of personal issue against East. Regardless of who is on the list and who's not, there are a lot of top athletes in Utah and i'm just glad these young men can show their talents at the next level. It just shows that Utah high school football can compete with the best.

I agree with markymark - HERRIMAN, UT - It's a BINGHAM world. Mr Football should be a Miner!

adwight I agree with you. Apparently stats and the impact a player has on a game don’t matter. Another example of favoritism on the part of Deseret News. Ostler deserves to be on the First Team.

    So Bingham gets 7,
    East gets 7,
    Herriman gets 3,
    AF gets 3 and
    Lone Peak gets 1????
Ridiculous! They were the 3rd place team. Many of their players had better numbers and seasons. Very Disappointing!

Very interesting. Good work. However, I would have liked to know what University each kid chose to attend, or at least what schools are recruiting them. Especially with regards to BYU and in how they’ll get back to another National Championship.

Stop Recruiting. I am going to assume you're not a Bingham graduate or fan then ?

Bingham is well represented and each of their players deserve their awards! It's tough to determine how to select who they think is best deserving of the awards but I think they've done a pretty good job this year.

You can never take this seriously. If it was scientific half these kids wouldn't be on here and it would look the roster for the top 3 teams in 6A. #BeautyPageant

It would be nice if this article included where each kid played little league or their previous high school.

So Andrew Ostler from Lone Peak.... 135 tackles, 11 sacks, 35 TFL (by far the most impressive defensive numbers in all of 6A, and that doesn't even tell the whole story of how dang good this kid was...) doesn't even make 1st team all state? Hilarious.

Bingham should have at least 2 OL on the first team. They absolutely handles every dlineman on your list and the Olineman when they were playing D. By far the best line in the state.

Also Dax Milne is a first team WR.
