I agree. Love in the Christmas season is something that I noticed growing up. That extended to a lot of good will and happiness around us, in and outside of our home. Trying to get lots of expensive gifts and fighting crowds can lead to frustration and anger.

In our home the gifts were modest and we feasted within our means too. To feast within the bounds of good 'taste' with a sense of celebrating the greatest gift in the world, that of the Father and the Son, is an excellent thing.

God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten (in the flesh) Son, and the Son loved the Father so very much that He accepted the call to make the great Atonement for all mankind. Peace on Earth, said or sang the angels, and Goodwill to all men! When these are absent something is wrong and Christmas becomes a sad, selfish thing.
