    This was a rebuilding year for the Y. The current seniors fell far short of the offense and control of the midfield provided by Hatch, Vasconcelos, and Medeiro last year. The inability of the midfield and forwards to keep possession of the ball put too much pressure on the defense even though the back line and keeper all returned from last year. The younger players show some promise. But, their first touch control and passing need to get better. Being fast is not enough if your first touch loses possession of the ball and your passing is poor.

    Finishing was atrocious for BYU. But that goes without saying if you are missing Penalty Kicks
