    "Effective response"?
Are we talking about the same case?
Officers scour the scrub oak for hours and find no one. The gunman is wandering around Operation Rio Grande and hiding a pistol in the bricks.

Finally he is taken down by a librarian.

    And you call this "effective"?

The guy had tattoos on his FACE and he's walking around downtown for hours.

LDS Liberal. I notice that many of the tragic deaths you mentioned took place during periods where the POTUS was not Trump and when the majority of Congress were Democrats. So what is your point? Are addressing gun laws and then throwing in the New York mass terrorist killings where a car was used as a deadly weapon? Are you talking about Sandy Hook where the killing was done by a known mentally ill kid? You must know that it was recently published that the Sandy Hook Killer had made his intentions known well before the actual incident but the police and the school did nothing to prevent it. The remainder of your examples continue to show examples of mentally ill or socially isolated people that were less than normal. The University of Utah shooting appears to be the only one you addressed were a criminal was hiding from the law and was attempting to further his escape via a car jacking. Again, each of your examples have different motives and their own unique twist. Throwing them into a big pile and suggesting that President or Republicans are somehow responsible is a real reach.

I'm growing sick and tired of the POTUS and Republican 'law makers" only response to these tragedies as a lame comment of "thankful to our first responders" and "thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families"...
