    Hmm....

Mike Lee endorses Roy Moore and Donald Trump --
and still claims to endorse and be a follower of Jesus Christ?

    ?

No man can serve 2 Masters....

Sen. Jeff Flake just chose following Jesus Christ over Donald Trump....

Boy, Mr. Wessman's letter sure struck a nerve with the lefties. That's ok, I'm not here to argue with them (not today anyway).

My only comment: kudos for a tip-of-the-hat to Edgar Allan Poe (and maybe the Alan Parsons Project?) Quoth the raven indeed!

There is NO right or wrong.

America is being turned into a Nazi Germany or North Korea --
it is becoming either "Trump", 100%, no questioning Def Fuhrer, ever, under any circumstances -- or you're out.

"Why would Mike Lee endorse Roy Moore?"

Simple answer: to snuggle up to Steve Bannon. I think Senator Lee is a fairly insecure fellow. He thinks Bannon will take care of him.

But the record of tyrants shows they often dismiss - or much worse - their early supporters. Lee is making a deal with the Devil.

Looks like it's pile on Mike Lee day. My personal opinion is that all politicians are corrupt. Some are more corrupt than others. Given the misdeeds of the Clintons and the Obama administration, Roy Moore is squeaky clean.

    =========

    ???

    Seriously?
    Clintons and Obama?
...their over 16 YEARS - pale in comparison on the lies, investigations, foreign contacts, threats of war, bullying -- of Trump in just 9 months!

I wish with all my heart and soul,
that conservatives would show an ounce of honestly and integrity and judge TRUMP with the same level, met and measure that they continue to do with Clintons or Obama.

    for example --
What if Bill Clinton bragged openly about sexual assault?
called women dog faced pigs, etc.

What if Obama openly trashed Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and the KKK and cheered on Black Lives matter?

What is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton opening threatened to nuke all of North Korea?

What if Clinton or Obama openly threatened Free Press, Free Speech, Free Expression, Free Religion, or Free Assembly.

What if Obama [the 'secret' Muslim] banned refugees from Christian nations?

    Please - integrity.

Mike Lee's radical extremism lines him up for Bannon money.

"Why would Mike Lee endorse Roy Moore?"

Good question, and on it may hang a whole lot of change for Utah. If I am right that the Bannon insurgency represents American fascism, then the country may well break apart into leftist and alt-right confederations (BTW, as per Putin plan).

If such happens which side will Utah align? I would prefer we align ourselves with the Left Coast of course. Lee probably would prefer an alignment with the Southern Bible Belt (you Utah conservatives would not be as happy as you imagine).

A whole lot depends on where Utah conservatism wants to go, and where the religious majority may want to go.

Because Mike Lee is an ideologue seeking a lifetime as a career politician. He is just another party before country republican. His interest is in serving himself/his gang and he as decided that supporting a someone like Moore who shows his outright disdain for the US Constitution will serve him better than actually having a backbone and doing the right thing for the country.

"State-sponsored religion, rebellion against the judiciary, religious tests for members of minority religions in government, charity and tax fraud"...
As far as Mike Lee is concerned, what's not to like?

Letter: Why would Mike Lee endorse Roy Moore?

    =======

    Good question.
Roy Moore is an uber-far- right-wing extremist.

That said, and my opinion to answer the question --

    Birds of a feather?....
2 peas in the same pod?...

    ...same "values", same "ideologies"?...

The Constitution, much like the Bible, is often interpreted to suit the needs of the interpreter.

Roy Moore believes the protections of the Constitution only apply to Christians - and he defines “Christians” narrowly to suit his needs.

Mike Lee apparently has no problems with this even though Moore, like many others, probably doesn’t include Mormons in his definition of Christian.

Mike Lee is party over principle, money over political morality, power over public service. That's the Republican way, which they pursue relentlessly while putting on their act.

    Apparently.

Yes! You can't be too extreme for Conservative Mike Lee. The sad part is that Utah voters agree.

I would not expect all republicans automatically endorse each other any more than I would expect the same from the democrat side. Just because you label yourself one way or another... that's doesn't mean you automatically support everyone in your own party. I know all democrats aren't in love with the Clintons anymore than all republicans agree with Ttumps tactics.

I love my family but I don't endorse everything they choose to do. The same should be likewise with politics.

If those who those reject Christ as our Savior desiring to replace him with Mohammed, are again Mr. Moore, then I am for Mr. Moore.

Every law written is based on something. Thou shall not kill sounds about right to me. So does, thou shall not steal. America would be a different place if Thou shall not bear false witness was written, not only on our monuments, but also on our hearts.

Accepting Mohammed's call to behead those who held different beliefs and Christ's call to love our neighbors and to love those who spitefully use us, I vote for Christ as my leader. Whether we write the words he gave Moses, or write the words he spoke near Jerusalem or write the words that he now speaks defining the structure and the nobility of the family, I am not offended when his words are written on public monuments to remind us that we are better and more noble than those who take offense at his words would have us believe.

There is no prohibition in the Constitution against displaying the Ten Commandments.. Government is only prohibited from interfering with "an establishment of religion", a pre-existing religion - no matter how the anti-religionists try to twist it.

Conservative extremists support conservative extremists, Alan. You ask good questions.

The thing is, Mike Lee doesn't think you are smart enough to connect all the dots to realize what an abhorrent human being Judge Roy Moore is. Few people connected all of Mike Lee's dots.
