@ SpokaneUte---I always suspected you were too young to have much experience and perspective but are a johnny-come-lately rah-rah type of fan. That's OK because they're who are filling up the tiny ute stadium these days.

Tell me, does the u even have a trophy case for football? (I believe everyone already knows the answer.) Maybe when they expand the stadium they can set aside a place for the PAC12 South Championship trophy, right next to the Rose Bowl Winner trophy, and see how much dust collects before they need to open it. Arizona hasn't needed the Rose Bowl Trophy case for over 30 years now and they are cruising this year, compared to u. I guess you could develop a Rumbling-in-the-Rockies Trophy so on those fortunate years that you beat Colorado you'll have something to display. (It wouldn't have been your first year in the PAC, though, would it? Surely you recall that game.)

Maybe the cougars can win a NC for the bottom 10. They're making a strong case for We're No. 1. They're displaying amazing consistency on their losing streak. Go cougars go!!!

That would be awesome, they could unlock the trophy case for the first time since the Doak Walker award and put it right next to it. I wonder if they could find the key after all these years?

    Spokane Ute

"And none in my life time;..."

Unfortunately for U, none in anybody's life time.

btw, unless you're still in grade school, the Doak Walker Award (Nation's Best Running Back), was won in your life time - 2001, to be exact.

It says a lot about Utah's program that the only major awards the Utes have ever received were won by kickers as a result of failing to convert 3rd downs and failing to score touchdowns.

@MinnesotaUte---Yup, just like the old Cougar faithful (like me) fall back on a NC, a Heisman Trophy winner, a Doak Walker Winner, etc

And none in my life time; 1-7 sum's it up

Always fun to read the banter that goes on between different fan bases, just struggling to prove that their rivals are insignificant. Has anyone out there ever strapped one on or laced up? Ever even coached a little league team? Couch potatoes, let the players put it out there on the field please.

@MinnesotaUte---Yup, just like the old Cougar faithful (like me) fall back on a NC, a Heisman Trophy winner, a Doak Walker Winner, etc, all of which are far superior to 7-in-a-row, which is the latest mantra and which never will come close to a NC. Nebraska has 5 of them and I suggest you visit their stadium and look at 5 trophies, then ask yourself: How many does the U of U have? Keep in mind they were in the same conference as BYU when the Y won theirs and the partisans on the hill can't express enough how great a P5 league membership is, yet they never came close to winning a NC ever, under any circumstances, especially when in the same conference as "you know who." True, they won two BCS bowl games, but other than utes, who ever in the country says thing one about that? No one.... You just need to fall back a little further to see who enjoyed a dynasty in the Beehive State. (Hint: They don't wear red.)

So falling back on the win over BYU is something to hang your hat on. Sad on one hand and then again on the other hand it shows just how really "relevant" BYU is to Ute fans.

Ha ha ha, u about to lose 4 in a row, but u fans are fine because BYU is struggling more.

    .........................

Plus there's that 7 game winning streak over you know who that Ute fans can always fall back on when times are tough.

It's not even November and the Utes are already eliminated from the division race.

It's not inconceivable that the Utes and Cougars could both end up with 8 losses.
