How about a Detmer at QB? Great DNA. Grandfather is Texas HS FB legend, who coached his uncle (Ty), his father (Koy), and him (Koy, Jr.). The father QB and uncle QB played in the NFL. The uncle QB won the Heisman as a short, weak-armed college QB. This kid played extremely well in Texas HS, just like his uncle and father before him, but was just too small to get D-1 offers. Who cares about short? He has the pedigree and the FB IQ. Give that kid the ball and see what he can do. He can't be any worse than what we have seen in the first three games.

Actually it will help to have a new quarterback, or why would they make the change? If they lose, they lose but it won't keep me from watching the game and hoping they don't. I mean what else am I gonna do, sit at home and be a Troll on some chat line and predict the loss of my favorite NFL Team on Sunday. Some fans are "fair weather" only naysayers and that's the "crazy truth..."

There is a lot of room for improvement for sure, and maybe "Hoge will bring us Hope." It's a tough task to go up against the Wisconsin Defense in his first start for sure, if this is what happens, but true competitors revel in the challenge. GO BEAU & GO BLUE!!

That Cincinnati game was ugly - that being said I remember Steve Young being horrible his first start too.

Could be an interesting change of pace - just hope the other position groups improve as well.
