The photo of the grieving man is inappropriate. Imagine losing your wife or young child on a quiet Sandy residential street in the middle of the afternoon and having a newspaper photograph decide your grief is newsworthy.

    Grief is never newsworthy.

I fear that society might be fostering a sense of entitlement, selfishness, and narcissism which can be dangerous.

Gosh-DUH, you know he didn't mean it like you are interpreting his words. He only meant that the shooter was no longer a threat to the community.

This is so sad - for the families involved, the school children who witnessed it, and the neighborhood.

From the article: Nielsen said officers believe there is no threat to the community.
What is a threat to the community if not this? How many need to die or be injured or to witness a tragedy such as this to have a threat to the community?

So very upsetting. Prayers to the families and friends of everyone involved. You just never know.
