I hope all find success but know some won't. Still it is awesome for them to have a chance at the NFL. Very few ever make it that far.

It's exciting to see how many Utes are making it into the NFL. The 40 number is over-inflated, as it always is at this time of the year, but with 8 draftee's and 8 FA signings, the number of Utes on rosters will most definitely be significantly larger than last season when the season opens.

FWIW - Utah comes in second in the nation (behind Michigan only with 17) with 16 players with NFL contracts who played college football in 2016.

    When does football start?

    Go Utes!

    Bleeding:

And the flip side of your take explains why BYU-P schedules so many cupcakes in November--the coogs apparently don't have enough talent.

The article brought to mind so many great plays/games these players gave us fans!

Specific thought about the article. Great to see increased the number of players from 32 to 40! Eric Weddle in his 10 year graded the best of any Safety in the NFL last year. One more building block for inclusion to the NFL hall of fame.
Chase Dominguez the only long snapper on NO Saints roster. How great would it be for him to have a 12 year career like BYU's Denney.
Great opportunity for Marcus Williams drafted by NO Saints (last in NFL pass defense last year!)
Same for Joe Williams. Only 1 of last years leading rushers returning. No wonder the 49ers traded up to get Joe!
Hunter Dimmick - undrafted! One of three rookies at DE. I like his chances.
    Good luck to all!

    @bloody coug,

It's probably because the Utes are in a tough conference. Hard to relate to I know, but that's the challenge of being in a conference. Hopefully some day you'll be able to understand. Good luck!

    @ cjd1 - Draper, UT - May 17, 2017 9:13 p.m. - "It is amazing how many players the U of U puts in the NFL."

    Maybe.

What I find "amazing" is if the Utah football team is so "good" based on how many players they put into the NFL, then why don't they win more games in their conference?

And why have so many games against a certain, supposedly pathetic "permanent" mid-major been so close?

    See you in September!

Looks like a football score: Utah 40 BYU 19. I just can't figure out why byuP can't put more players in the NFL. Very puzzling.

This list is meaningless until the final cuts are made.
Will most likely be lower than these totals for every school.
Not every player drafted will make a squad nor will every free agent fail to do so.
