I'd say the GOP is putting Party over Principles, but not even that is
correct. No - sadder still, They are even putting TRUMP ahead
of the entire Party, let alone principles and this Nation!
Good questions to ask Jason Chaffetz: 1. "Did Trump ask you to
pledge your loyalty to him?"2. "Did you say yes?"
Those fervent Trump supporters writing in this thread must take responsibility
and acknowledge their complicity in aiding and abetting Trump's attempts at
obstruction of justice. Although they may not call it that, they need to voice
their support of what he does so that it is clear where they stand on the
issues. Many have expressed support for Russia and its interference
in our election. Now they need to show their support for supplying Russia with
sensitive intelligence and the need to dismiss James Comey while he was
conducting an investigation into Trump and Russia. We have a pro-Russian cabal
coming to Trump's defense that needs to be recognized as a true threat to
our democracy and liberty.
Chaffets taking for the bait! Its very amusing to watch what 50 years
of of the Alinsky rules have done to the followers. When they tell
the big lie and keep telling it until everyone believes it, including
themselves, and have doing this for 50+ years, it will take a toll. When they
no longer can tell truth from fiction, its only obvious paranoia will set it,
when there is no reality of truth. It is when the two scoops of ice
cream or "the russians are coming, the russians are coming " any many
other ludicrous claims are made by the lame stream media, that anyone with half
a brain can see that this movement has reached the tip of the iceberg! Only time will tell, but this movement is either going to implode or
start world war III, which I seriously wonder if it hasn't already
started. Its is all too obvious that the Intelligence Industrial
Complex has turned into a covert branch of the government working independently
against our government and the US.
It will be a pretty small pile of info since most of it is made up and from
"anonymous" sources (code for made up) Hey Democrats 1980 called they
want their foreign policy back....now where did I hear that??
While he's at it----Chaffetz should also ask Trump where that wall is? And tax reform...and a proper health care system, and jobs..NOT fast food jobs...GOOD jobs....Where are all these
things Trump promised?huh???
Let's get the info from the WH, too.I wish I could trust
Chaffetz on this. That horse left the stable a while back and it ain't
Why is Chaffetz asking for a Comey memo when Trump has claimed he has tapes of
the meeting? Investigating Comey's memo instead of Trump's recording
is sidestepping the big picture.
The LAST thing Donald Trump and the entire GOP needs right now is for
Russia's own Vladimir Putin to be vouching for them!
@ FT"The sooner America turns the page on 44.5 the better.
Everyone assumed it would be Pence's job eventually."The
challenge is that once impeached, Trump's heir to the presidency may also
be implicated in the Russian mess. Sure, Trump may be out by the end of summer,
but Pence is likely to be dragged through the mud as the investigation unfolds
and the political daggers come out from Trump's GOP rivals who lost out to
him in the primaries. Recall when Pence said that Flynn
"didn't" talk with the Russians on sanctions -- will that prove to
be a conspiracy to cover up Flynn's initial lie? Watch the investigations
turn on Pence in the coming months.
I want to see all of Comey's memos. He needs to be subpoenaed immediately.
I want to see his notes on Obama and Hillary as well.Let me guess,
the left will move on to the next fake scandal before we can verify this alleged
conversation. Because it's about the "seriousness of the charge",
not the evidence.Glad Trump fired Comey, it's clear he was a
partisan hack now.
More fake news. Americans are sick of the lies, the left looks absolutely
hysterical. We proved all this last November when they touted fake polls. It's kind of cute, actually, that the left still thinks they are
fooling us. Grab the popcorn and watch the left go crazy. Good times!
Remember Benghazi - how can we forget? It may not be relevant in this case, but
you keep bringing it up. Illegal server - well, server anyway. It
didn't give classified secrets to Russians in the oval office. Lies
and more lies - OK, trump is all over here. Largest crowd. "Prime the
pump". Health care for all on day one, at a fraction of the cost. Cover pre
existing conditions. Mexico will pay...Libs lost - America lost. Trump won - the electoral college awarded the presidency in conflict with the
raw vote. Get over it - No. He's harming America.
Chaffetz needs a chaperone so he won't "pull a Devin Nunes" and go
share "disturbing information" with the White House.(Remember that ridiculous story? It's been pushed all the way back to
the classified section, pushed aside by too many other stories in between.)
@ute alumniwe all remember Benghazi and the claims of a "Illegal
server." We remember the multiple endless investigations that turned up
nothing, we remember that Obama and Clinton are no longer part of the government
and that your comment is nothing more then a deflection from our current
incompetent presedents alleged misdeeds.
@Ute Alumni "BobbyRemember BenghaziIllegal serverLies and

Donald Trump is attempting to obstruct justice, like Nixon in Watergate. The
skids are greased now. So you will soon have to "get over it."
At a high level, I have absolutely no issues with Trump wanting better
diplomatic ties with Russia. We have far more common enemies than we are
enemies of each other. But Trump doesn't seem to have even the
slightest notion that as President of the United States, he doesn't have
free latitude to run the office and government by edict. As CEO, he could run
his business on a whim, how his passions led him. In some cases, those turned
into great successes. In others, they ended up in failure and in the courts.
When Trump did fail in the past, he used the courts to erase the debts he had
created. At the end of the day he was responsible to no one other than
himself. But being President is completely different. Trump is
responsible to 300 million People. He can't rule based on his emotions.
Peoples livelihoods and lives depend on sound and reasoned judgement. I have
no doubt Trump threatened and then summarily fired the FBI director, because in
private business, he could do that. But as President, he can't. And
Trump hasn't learned that yet. It's going to be an

Chaffetz calls for all FBI documents on President Trump and Comey==== May I:After receiving 100 MILLION phone calls from
across an angry nation, Chaffetz calls for all FBI documents on President
Trump and Comey, in order to beat an UN-biased Special Independent
Counsel, and Vladimir Putin who has also said he would release
Putin is investigating more than Jason.

@ Utah Girl Chronicles"Making too big of a fuss about this will
diminish his chances of landing a gig at Fox."I checked Fox a
few times yesterday and each time I looked they were resolutely looking the
other way while hyperventilating over a story of the murder of a DNC staffer
last year. Based on what I've seen of Mr. Chaffetz, I think he'd be
really good at something like that.
One would hope that he also subpoenas the "tapes".
Is it so much to ask for our congresspeople to investigate suspected wrong
doing? I watched Fox last night and as much as they like to spin it
as not a big deal, these dealings with Russians make me nervous about the future
of our democracy. We need an independent commission to just look into it and put
it to bed once and for all.
At times, when one is unshackled from having to campaign in the near future, you
do the right thing.Hopefully Chaffetz will do the right thing and
open a serious investigation into Trump, connections to Russia, Russian meddling
in the US election, and possible Trump efforts to dissuade Comey on
investigating Flynn. At this rate Trump won't last to the next
campaign. He could be impeached before then.President Pence,
Hammering on made up facts and made-up evidence about Hillary can get a person
quite a bit of news coverage.Acting as if you're going to get
evidence that causes the president of the United States to be impeached could
get one quite a bit more news coverage and maybe even a much higher salary at
Fox when one decides to go there
Comey should have said "Trump asked me to stop the Flynn investigation.
Plus I had some new information about Benghazi."Chaffetz would
have formed a committee to start investigating first thing in the morning.
Requesting is great, but I won't believe he'll actually do anything
about it until he does. I don't have to worry about that because I predict
it will not go anywhere. Oh, and whoever provides the memo, just make sure you
make a bunch of copies.
Chaffetz wants the docs so he can prosecute Comey. Jason is still in a
'bromance' with Trump.
Great news! The sooner jason can prove trump it totally innocent, the sooner
trump can go back to being the greatest and best president & republican in
Jason who is bailing on government and is about to use the holier than thou
routine for reasons to leave, just might be in the right place to make a big
stink in the whitehouse. He will however be tripling his income at
Fox. Here is hoping he goes out shooting instead of doing what has made him so
despised by those who elected him.Funny though he says his pen is
ready, not sure that is really an action phrase. If someone is having a face to
face conversation that is not something that is convincing.
Maybe Chaffetz will be able to put country over party but it seems doubtful. As one who recalls Chaffetz's strong language about Hillary, does
anyone think he'll ever use strong language about Trump?Making
too big of a fuss about this will diminish his chances of landing a gig at Fox.
So much for foot surgery that would take Chaffetz out of commission for
Considering the lengths Chaffetz has gone up to this point to defend Trump and
avoid doing his oversight job, it seems pretty clear we need a special
prosecutor and very, very public televised hearings.I don't
want there to be a chance for Chaffetz to bury this.
Something about closing a barn door after the horses are out comes to mind.Of course time is on the side of truth, and truth will out!Let the investigation begin, hurry, please. While there is still a chance of
the Republican Party of saving itself from Trump.
