Local firms ask Sen. Mike Lee to support grant funding for biotech

    I have a couple of concerns with this. First, these biotech companies expect to make a ton of money with their products, but they want free money to develop the products, without any expectation of any pay back in kind. Second, if they really have potential products that have commercial value, why don't they crowd fund, or seek other sources of funding? Why should the tax payers always be expected to fund projects that yields very little benefit to the general public?

    What? Tea Party Lee, "States Rights", "cut the deficit", "pull yourself up by the bootstraps", etc. is going to the Feds for money, after Trump cuts the budget? Seems hypocritical.
