The is no reason why there can't be a zero tolerance for driving after drinking. This eliminate a lot of speeding a lot of sports fights. This eliminates a lot of accidents. The state can do one of 3 things. Let another state serve as an example for how this state should be such as colorado. Be a state that sets the example or compromise standards a little for those who are weak. Nobody is perfect. Life is important and worth living. Life is worth allowing others to live there lives in safety on the roads. I highly doubt quality of life will improve in Utah. To many more people have lost belief in God. To many more people are moving in who do not believe in God. That belief in God is the only reason to care about such a subject.

This bill was long overdue. Thanks DN for publishing the list of jurisdictions with comparable or lower blood alcohol limits. Sen. Dabakis' unfortunate comments represent someone who does not have the safety of Utah residents as a primary concern. Trying to compete with Colorado for who has the most permissive DWI laws is not in our interests.
