@worf: "Meryl Streep said nothing of..."

People who are not the president-elect.

She addressed only the actions - seen by millions - of the president-elect.

She did not talk about any other candidate.

Didn't talk about any First Lady.

Didn't talk about any policy of any administration.

Didn't discuss new items on the menu at Taco Bell or her preference in shoes.

She talked about the words and actions of the current president-elect, on video and easy to find.

And people are outraged at her for telling the truth, a truth the majority of voters saw, a truth the majority of citizens see every day.

I guess some things that are true are not very useful.

Wake up! The evidence is clear.

Meryl Streep said nothing of Hillary calling millions of Americans deplorable, or Obama judging a police officer of acting stupidly. Said nothing of the DNC rigging the election, Fast & Furious, or Michelle not being proud of our country.

She only mentions Trump. That's discrimination!

    Lou Montana,
I've been a fan since she was in Silkwood. And, I have men's 14 wide.
Not sure how that matters, though.

Trump is right, she is overrated! She is arrogant, opinionated and has big feet (8.5 women's).

After her disgraceful and poorly timed speech, I am a fan for life!

"Discriminating"? So speaking out when our political leaders do something we disagree with is discrimination? That's a bit of a stretch.

I take it Streep who is very cheap....didn't see the "Thanks famous Actors " Video on Facebook that had over 500 million views!

She is just another broken liberal.....did she protest Obama and his lies about keeping your doctor, executive amnesty or his Syrian ISIS weakness on the failed red line? Or Hilary when she blamed four dead Americans on a video? Or the Grey Goose Airliner filled with hundred dollar bills paying ransom for hostages, while yet on 60 minutes the Obama Administration stands by its decision to allow journalist to be beheaded?

Give me a break Streep......If I pay you $7, then you can speak, otherwise I could careless what you and your friends think!

I had a nice chuckle when she called on "...the principled press..." You're not going to persuade many hearts and minds by claiming the press is principled. The masks came off this election.

I have a sneaking suspicion her definition of a principled press is one that lines up with her myopic ideology.

How dare an actor use their bully pulpit to express their views. That's about as American as a politician calling a press conference to toot their new Washington hotel.

    Hey Worf,

RE: "Quit discriminating! If you're going to publicly criticize someone, don't target just one person, or political party."

    Quit discriminating? . . . Why?

Discerning Americans discriminate between right and wrong . . . Between good and bad.

Discerning Americans tend to target for ridicule mean, ridiculous, bubble-headed, bloviating villains like Donald Trump . . . A guy who only won the Presidency ONLY because our nation's enemies broke America's laws to get him elected.

    Get used to it.

We don't like bad people . . . People who mock the handicapped.

"For the 100th time, I never "mocked" a disabled reporter (would never do that) . . . " - Donald Trump

And we don't like pretentious and mendacious leaders who think nothing of telling hundreds and thousands of bald-faced lies to the American people again and again and again.

    See how it works now?

    Hey Thid Barker -

RE: "Anyone who cares what Meryl Steep thinks, raise your hand?"

Meryl Streep, like most Americans, abhors Donald Trump.

Our nation's enemies love him, and truly patriotic Americans can't stand him.

    It's the Trump effect!

Seriously, labeling the majority of America as racists, homophobic, xenophobes, and islamiphobic. Is a much greater reflection of the entire democratic party, and those that follow it.

Now before anybody jumps down my throat, not all. Good we cleared that up, and we can have a rational debate on the soft bigotry of low expectations the democratic party professes.

The actions of trump to which Ms. Streep referred stand on their own.
First off, in spite of denials he did it. Anyone who saw it knows what he meant when he did it, and what he was doing and portraying when he did it. There is no ambiguity.
His attempts to generate a different reality around it stand in stark contrast to the pictures and words on the screen.
Secondly, what trump did is sickening. It is immature, childish behaviour. It is deplorable.
So, amidst the deflection attempts (Hollywood is evil, Hillary did worse, President Obama did worse than that, and of course the media is biased), I'm glad Streep called him trump out on his behaviour. Every decent person should. Every parent should hope they raised their kids not to act that way.

President Trump does need to learn one final thing before Jan 20. As the old saying goes .."never wrestle with a pig in the mud -- the pig loves it and all you do is get dirty".

Since Donnie is the pig in the mud, and he sure enjoys wallowing in it, you must be encouraging him to keep going with the wallowing. I have no doubt he will continue, and you just proved the point that although Donnie may be confirmed as the titular head of the US government for the next four years, he will never be worthy of the title "President" or in any way presidential. Very true and accurate for you to point that out. Thank you for confirming that.

Who doesn't use humor, and hand gestures to make a point.

Poor sport liberals continue to use to pick & choose selective remarks to downgrade Trump.

Yesterday the Russians, and today Meryl Streep?

Was Meryl upset when Hillary referred to millions of Americans as being deplorable, and Obama wrongfully accusing a police officer as acting stupidly ?

Quit discriminating! If you're going to publicly criticize someone, don't target just one person, or political party.

President Trump does need to learn one final thing before Jan 20. As the old saying goes .."never wrestle with a pig in the mud -- the pig loves it and all you do is get dirty". Hollywood is so unimportant and useless and to repsond to these self worshiping moronic flakes only cheapens the office of the president. I love the tweets Pres but let's keep it to important stuff.
