Great effort by an individual in a rare skeleton sport. It is not clear which country he is going to compete for; the USA, the Netherlands and from Ghana where he departed as a kid . To carry all three flags into Olympic Games could be counter to the spirit of the games and create a divided attention for the athlete. He needs to choose one country that will support his efforts in a competitive manner. And in that respect Ghana does not come close.
The story seem to portray Frimpong as fulfilling a dream which has rather become a hobby.
There was a similar story in the past of a Ghanaian long distance skiier in Europe (Switzerland or so) whose nickname was "Leopard of the slopes" who did not qualify during an easy pass to the Olympics after all the publicity.
The path to recognition is not clear if Ghana as a country is not giving any support.
Everyone will only wish the gentleman the best that he replicates the Jamaican "Cool runnings" Olympic story.
