Ty's commitment to excellence, his energy, enthusiasm, lit up the Y as he led the football team and won the Heisman. His ability to sort out, prioritize, keep proper life perspective is a credit to him and his parents for sure. He is the kind of man everyone would like as a teammate, a neighbor, a friend.

Grateful to read an article about things that really matter. Ty has always been a class act, and focused on things most important. What a privilege it was to get to know him up in Orem during a couple years prior to him gaining nationwide attention. While he has a great football mind, he has a greater understanding of people ... again, things most important.

How can anybody not like Ty? He is like a Winnie the Poo, and had an assassin's arm. He is one of a kind. He is also a football wizard and will surprise opponents for years to come, with his vast knowledge of the game. I'm looking forward to the future of BYU football.

Great read. Interesting that the issue of the Church didn't come up as he talk about the Y with his parents.

Welcome back Ty. Hope you're time in Provo is a great experience for you and your family.

THanks, Des News, for reporting the story the way you did. Hearing the summary of his testimony would have given other "secular" reporters and papers hives.

It is so great to have Ty "back home" in Provo

Good job Ty! We are so glad you are at BYU.

Help these cougar fans to have a desire to represent themselves well. LIke you said, there are more important things going on.

Awesome conversion story. What an down to earth person he is. And one bonus from this story is that I now can tell my wife of 25 years that I know someone famous who has a less romantic proposal story than ours.
