That is an awful logo! It looks like a police badge. Besides, if the name is
going to be "StarS" then why only ONE star? I like the name Utah Stars,
and I think they should be located in the Provo/Orem area. If the Utah Stars is
too much like the old ABA Stars team, then name them the Utah Mountain Stars.
I don't think the Jazz have done their homework. All this is to me is a
knee-jerk reaction to financial difficulties in Boise, but competing with the
jazz for the same fan base is not smart! Why don't the jazz consider the
Provo/Orem or Ogden communities? Actually, the Provo/Orem area would be
fantastic, and would only ADD to the Jazz brand.
@Brave Sir Robin @Bill Shakespeare Trolling level infinite! I'd love to see
the Starts take the Warriors to OT.
I wonder who would win if the Jazz played the Stars.
It will be fun to watch the D-league team beat the Jazz in scrimmages.
We will miss having the team in Boise after almost two decades. Given the
lackluster fan support, and lukewarm attempts by the Jazz to integrate into the
community after the team was purchased last year, it shouldn't really
surprise folks that they are coming to Utah.
Nobody watched them in Boise and nobody will watch them in SLC.
I was sad to hear of the passing of Vince Boryla and love the idea of calling
them the Utah Stars.
This has been roumered for a long time. Plenty of room at the Zions practice
building. And for those who can't afford Jazz tickets some pretty good ball
can be seen. NBA needs to get closer to the MLB in their minor league workings.
Players can be sent up or down on a ready need basis.
If Jimmer Fredette doesn't go to Europe, bringing him to Utah makes a lot
of sense. With Fredette on the team, they'd likely pack all the
Here's one vote to name the Jazz D-league affiliate the "Utah
Stars."Anything other name pales by comparison.
Now Jimmer may be playing in SLC next season.
