Had years of sad experience with a brother who smoked weed. In his doped state
he thought he was the world's best driver, carpenter, musician, etc. but
was a dangerous fool. Also researched and visited the "medical Mary Jane
dispensaries in N. California. Sad group of dull humans hang around them. We
must be very careful in passing laws to allow its use in our state or we could
become a surreal "Happy Valley".
Sad. Hope the poor cyclist makes it. Marijuana has to be treated like alcohol,
script drugs and treat like DUI's with driving. These situations should not
stop progress on medical marijuana access. Everyone that uses for medical use or
could benefit should not be treated like stoners anymore than everyone who has a
glass of wine or beer occasionally should be treated like an alcoholic.
I have no problem with medical marijuana, but anyone who uses it, for any
reason, should understand its effects are stronger than alcohol. At least in my
limited experience with co-workers. My co-workers who used it were stone-cold
stupid and slow, yet had no clue they were impaired.
Be it marijuana, prescription drugs or alcohol driving under the influence is
and should be a crime.
