I am an elected Register of Deeds (the Eastern U.S. equivalent of a County Recorder). From the comments made by Ms. Bishop it is perfectly clear that she has ZERO understanding of the office she seeks. Each year estimates must be made as to how much revenue will be received by the office in order to set a budget. It is no more than an educated guess. A real estate recording office can not 'drum up' business, or lose potential business. We are merely an accurate indication of what the real estate market is experiencing in real life.
If I lived in Utah, I most certainly would NOT vote for a candidate who has displayed such a basic lack of understanding of the entire office and how it works.

Typical Democrat bomb throwing. It's like throwing spaghetti at a wall. Let's throw it and see if it sticks. I'm certainly not going to vote for her.

Me, I don't trust any government. I figure that they make mistakes that I could do. Belief is only what you can count on or depend on.

It appears that Ms. Bishop is expressing a "gut" reaction...so here's mine:

When you don't have anything to "run" on and you can't find anything amiss, it's time to call for an audit, provide a smokescreen, whatever!!!! If she can't understand the very plausible reasons for the decrease in revenue, she probably isn't qualified for the job. IMHO.............
