    Perhaps we are not paying teachers enough if we cannot find enough qualified applicants. Those who would dump all the teachers who do not perform satisfactorily need to read this article. You probably don't fire someone if you don't have even enough applicants to replace them. Remember that most jobs in the private sector have many more applicants than openings.

    Indeed, my wife tried teaching in a school and found she not only made as much money as a private tutor but she's actually treated well by her clients which is a far cry from how she felt in the school system. No summer vacation though, that part is kinda lame.

    Looks like college kids are figuring out that this isn't a great career choice.
