    I guess I'm coming kind of late to the table here, but missionaries are maybe not the ones who should be caring for the sick. The church does have non-missionary resources, you know. Also, missionaries are not the only priesthood holders. It might be better to have priesthood holders who are also medical professionals be the church representatives who are giving temporal care as well as priesthood blessings. I believe that is the route being taken.

    Why are the missionaries not helping the sick and needy. I hear in the news about other faiths missionaries, who rather than evacuate have hurried to the area to care for those afflicted. Cant the missionaries give blessings to those in need and cure them of this illness?

    If there was ever a time for curing blessings this would be it.
    We could keep the missionaries there to keep teaching and give them blessings.
