Becky Hammon is truly a pioneer for women in the NBA. I admire her for playing so many years in the WNBA and then going straight into coaching. The head coach obviously saw attributes in her that would improve the team. The San Antonio Spurs are a role model of how to run an NBA franchise. I hope Becky is successful and receives the support that she deserves.

The locker room is due for some remodeling with pretty pictures, and flowers.

I LOVE this! Yay for Becky! The NBA has so many female fans (as I am)that her inclusion is fair and timely....especially since she has all of the qualities/talents that a guy has. This is so good for the female fan base, for now. Soon, I hope, it won't matter - just the best person for the job regardless of gender. I think Coach Pop is a genius in so many ways. I LOVE this!!

The Spurs always seem to be ahead of the curve and willing to innovate.

The were leaders in scouting and signing overseas players.

They continued to emphasize team play and ball movement when most teams had gone to isolation sets.

    Well done.
