Michael Gerson and all Republicans as well as all people who want to continue nation building...

As long as you and all people who support this Nation Building madness serve on the front lines of this failed Republican Policy... as well as fund your madness...

    Have at it.

    No more Nation Building.

For at least 2000+ years, the people in the Middle East have been killing each other.

The God of the Old and New Testament could not keep these people from killing each other.

    No more Nation Building.

Obama is a master speaker in front of a teleprompter and a wimp as far as being a leader. As the Israelites and Putin know he will back no one. He does what his handlers tell him to do and nothing more.

Obama is in bed with the terrorists. He's just looking for a way to crush their opposition using our military. Same thing with Ukraine, Iraq, Iran, North Korea etc. He claims his focus is local issues (that's where the dictator comes in) and he is very aggressive in stripping others of their freedoms. On foreign policy he has a wait and see how he can help our enemies. Take Eqypt for example.

Everything else, he finds someone or people or thing to blame. You'll notice it's everyone elses fault. The economy, Benghazi, obamacare, trayvon, Cambridge police, etc. But, hey, he ordered seal team 6 to kill Osama. He is the only person and the only president in our history or ever that was capable of giving that order....

"Michael Gerson: Global aggression — Amercan leadership is irreplaceable"

What we have here is Michael Gerson, a GW Bush acolyte, former member of the Bush administration, and its staunch defender, who has NEVER admitted that the GW Bush administration is in any way culpable for the mess in the Middle East.

    And what is he doing?

    He’s blaming Obama.

    Wow . . . big surprise.

“Conservative” spokesmen certainly have a knack for lashing out at others in ridiculously transparent attempts to hide their movement's obvious incompetence, unworkable ideology, and their sheer lack of ability.

Inevitably Republicans want to cowboy up and go in shootin'. This time I suggest that these GOP pundits join the Iraqi Army and leave the rest of us alone.

I predict this Baghdadi character will die in the desert along with his megalomaniac "caliphate." There are plenty of Shia assassins itching to do the job, and they neither need nor want our help.

I hope my leftist friends will forgive me for quoting Pat Buchanan (if they won't I don't give a hang):

"It is astonishing that Republicans who threaten to impeach Obama for usurping authority at home remain silent as he prepares to usurp their war powers – to march us into Syria and back into Iraq."

Has Syria invaded the United States? No? Did Iraq invade the United States? No. We can't learn. We are apparently doomed to stumble over and over again in the that part of the world - on a bipartisan basis.

The United States cannot carry out an effective and efficient foreign policy in the Middle East because of religion. To Americans the Jews are God's chosen, and the Muslims are illegitimate offspring. Americans keep trying to see evidence of Biblical prophesy fulfillment and even try to encourage it. Israel gets the largest single share of U.S. foreign aid. So the various shades of Islam know that the United States sees their interests as secondary compared to those of Israel. Even the Saudis know that. For the United States it is Israel first and always. Woe to any politician who points out these things, or points out treachery on the part of Israel against the United States.

Joseph Campbell pointed out the power of myth (in a slightly different context), was he ever right! Thanks to religion we can never think straight about the middle east. This includes the Obama administration.

Expect the United States to stumble, stumble, and stumble again. I hope a world war doesn't come out of it, but we will deserve it if one does.

Oh, so now Obama is weak again? Just a few weeks ago he was a ruthless dictator with all of his executive orders and Obamacare.

Once again, Obama was wrong. He is now tucking tail and reversing course. America is reminded once again of our mistake in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections.
