He’s probably not gay actually, and he, his family, and his ward would probably be greatly offended by your completely baseless insinuation that he might be. Not to mention the fact that the Boy Scouts of America have changed their membership policies to allow gay scouts, if not gay scout leaders, and did so more than a year ago. Don’t know where you have been all that time.

Anyway, I doubt that this good Samaritan’s actions will do anything to change how members of that church feel towards “Mormons”, but it’s admirable that he chose to help them anyway, in spite of whether or not they appreciate it.

    Lilly -

Really? Your post has nothing to do with the article. Not everything has to be about who people choose to be intimate with. There is a lot more to life than that....

Sadly, if this Proud, Enthusiastic, Dedicated Boy Scout is Gay, he will be marginalized, demonized and probably forced out of Scouting if and when he earns the right to be a Scout Leader. This Scouting Policy is a National Shame. He is a valuable Citizen. No one should be subjected to Bigotry and Ignorance. A Gerald R.Ford Council Eagle Scout.

A great big thank you to GAF Roofing Materials for the very generous donation of the materials he needed, "Bin There, Dump That" for donating the dumpster Chick-Fil-A for donating Lunch.

I should also point out that Trinity United Methodist Church has been a wonderful partner in our Homeschooling Community. We love them!
