What is sad in this country is that we don't see overweight or obese men and women in the same way. I have never understood that. For the same reason that a man doesn't find me attractive at 250 lbs, I don't find men who are overweight attractive. Until we understand that being overweight or obese is only different from being an alcoholic or drug user, in that with food, you can't quit cold turkey, you must learn to eat right, correct portions, correct calories, exercise. I know whereof I speak. I have lost 100 lbs over the last year and have 40 more to go to my goal weight. For me finally, it is about my health and nothing else. I don't care if a man finds me attractive. I'm not losing weight to attend a reunion, prom or wedding. For men to fool themselves into believing it doesn't matter if they are overweight is tragic. It is also dangerous from a health point of view.
