    Yes, it's too bad. But given the choice of having to eliminate arts or math, I choose arts. The reason: Education exists to prepare people to be able to earn a living, and more people earn a living by being good at math than by being good at arts.

    It is too bad they ignore the arts. The arts is one of the great drivers of American innovation. Stripping arts from education (or at least devaluing the importance of the arts) is a grave, grave mistake.
