Pure word, pure word. KD is an amazing guy. He is a great role model and citizen. Mr. Reliable.

Kevin, my guess is that for you, seeing your gratitude for your mother reflected in the tears of appreciation in her eyes and those of many people in the audience, especially so close to Mother's Day, is at least as great an honor as the MBP award.

    Well done, on every level.

I'm a huge Lebron James fan - I think he's without a doubt the best all around player since Michael Jordan. Lebron deserves every MVP he's earned (and even the one Derrick Rose won should have gone to Lebron).

But I think Kevin Durrant is as close to Lebron as anyone. That kid is so fun to watch play the game. He's an effortless scorer. I love how precise and smooth his shot is. If either Lebron or KD are playing, and it doesn't matter who they're playing, I'm watching.

And that acceptance speech was pure gold! What an amazing young man. Henry Drummond hit the nail on the head - who can ever top Durrant's closing: "my mom is the real MVP"! That's beautiful stuff

This was up there with John Cappelletti's Heisman Trophy speech or even Lou Gerig's farewell. Very genuine and very touching. One for the ages.
