    Great list - there will always be arguments for others deserving recognition - for example, trick play Olympus used to defeat Springville at the end of the playoff game made Sports Center's top 10 for highlights - could be worthy of discussion for the governor's list.

    That says a lot about Haws and his character, good for him. If it wasn't for Hone, I would support Haws as the choice. Great young men both.

    T.J. Haws was nominated by the committee, but declined the nomination because he plans to leave immediately for a mission. The committee was unanimous in seeing Haws as one of the state's best male prep athletes in 2013.

    Just to clarify, Haws was the mvp in the 2012 season, Emery was the mvp last year

    I agree on Haws being on this list. I personally would vote for Hone, he recently won one national tournament in Virginia Beach and then the next week took on the best again and took second. He took state four times in wrestling, won the Reno Tournament of Champions, Super State, and The Rumble.

    How can TJ Haws NOT be on the HS Male Athlete list?
