Mahina and Anae will prove the naysayers wrong.

It's funny how those with short memories forget that Pitta(2004, 2007-09), George(2005-09), Harline(2004-06) and Coats(2002-06) all excelled at tight end while Robert Anae was coaching at BYU (2005-10).

It was the season AFTER Pitta and George graduated that BYU began struggling at tight end.

It's amazing how much smarter coaches look when they have talent to coach.

The band of brothers just need to spend time with him, teach him how to go fast, go hard and to always remember that will is always greater than skill.
    He'll get it.

Thanks to that offensive mastermind Robert Anae, the tight end position has disappeared from the Cougar playbook!

I dream of the Pitta, George, Harline and Coats days. (I recognize there were glory days before them also.) Hoping Mahina can either have to soft touch like the first three, pulling in the passes; or at least the blocking skills of a Coats to open up some holes for Williams, Hill and company.

Another year, another article about the TE position at BYU, and once again, they will fail to use them in an efficient manner.
