Joseph Smith was treated as a suspect (and much worse, and murdered) over and
over again without credible claims against him.The thing about a
credible claim, is that there has to be evidence. If there isn't actually
ANY evidence, at all, to suggest someone killed their spouse... then nothing
should be done. I think the intent is good, but the consequences are
unforeseen. Can someone be a suspect without evidence? How much
evidence is needed? If none, then what... a hunch? I'd hate to see loving
parents removed from their children on a hunch.
