"eastcoastcoug" comments from this morning declaring that Coach Rose is a great person but not a good coach seemed ignorant to me. He stated that they have "never one any games that mattered", "name one". I will name four off the top of my head.
    1. How about a couple weeks ago in Provo when they defeated the same Gonzaga team they lost to last night.
    2. Defeating Gonzaga by over 20 points three years ago in the second round of the NCAA Tourney, following the suspension of Brandon Davies.
    3. BYU dominates Southern Miss in third round NIT 2013 game, on the road 79-62. THey had not lost a non-conference road game in a couple years.
    4. Overtime win against Kansas State in the NCAA Tourney four years ago.

Such a wonderful article about BYU sports. I proud of the boys for working so hard to win. Welcome all the visitors from other universities who like to read our BYU articles and comment so kindly. Their respect for the efforts of our young men is so appreciated.

    @ Chris:

You are right about all teams having injuries and being able to step it up. Being the good team BYU is, they definitely stepped it up after Kyle went down and actually gained ground on Gonzaga afterwards. They once again played tough under extra opposition and proved their metal.
Too bad you didn't have the same attitude when Wilson went down with the Ute football team. You had a "if only..." attitude.

Once again, another one of your predictions will prove to be wrong. And when it does, please make one of your promises not to post on a BYU related article for a week or longer. We need a break. BYU will definitely be in the NCAA tournament. Your all-season-long to the contrary has assured it.

What difference does it make how many teams from the PAC12 (or any other conference) go to the tournament if your team isn't one of them? Utah hasn't been able to play in football bowl games and still no basketball NCAA tournament invites. Hanging onto someone else's coattails (other conference teams) is not impressive to anyone else whatsoever.

Sorry Chris, but the WCC has had two or three teams the last few years. BYU will still go dancing. The PAC 12 may get 6 or 7, but Utah won't be one of them. Maybe next year.

tough for him, but every team has injuries. Good teams have players step up.

byu is going to the NIT like I said they would all season

And the wcc is a one bid league.

IN other words, UVU's league is getting as many invites as the wcc.

The Pac 12 and Big 12 are expected to get 6-7 each

Very tough break for Kyle. Appears that he's done for this season. The bigger concern is for the long term. His brother Chris was very talented and had tremendous potential, but his career was plagued (and eventually ended) by knee and ankle injuries. Here's hoping for a speedy and complete recovery -- and a long career -- for Kyle.

    Go Cougs.
