So well deserved. This guy is hands down the best player in the state of Utah and I believe that he could be conference player of the year next year. He has stamped his name on this program from day 1 and we are so fortunate to have such a multi talented player.

Since when did New Mexico join the Pac 12?

This is great for Delon and the Ute's basketball program. With the recruits currently in the pipeline this kind of thing should continue into the near future. As for Delon going to the NBA, that's a lot of media hype. The media always want to be able to say they were the first to predict something. I have read a lot of comments on Delon from NBA scouts and draft experts who are saying he needs to work on his jump shot and bulk up a bit. They also say this draft is so deep he'd have a better shot at going higher, if he waits. I just hope cooler heads prevail and Delon doesn't buy into the media hype.

This upcoming NBA Draft is reportedly going to be a very deep draft with lots of talent out there. Hopefully Delon's advisors with tell him to hang around for another year and work on his outside jump shot. He would most likely be a higher draft choice following next season.

Awesome. I really hope he stays around for his senior year. I don't think one more year at the college level would hurt his draft stock in the least bit.

Congrats Delon! You for sure would be conference player of the year in the wcc because of our prestige at being #1 team in the pac 10.

    Go Utes!

The D-news article did not include this quote, "..this is one of the reasons that I wanted to play in the Pac-12. I wanted to go against the best and to test myself against the best.” If he had wanted to merely win games he might have gone elsewhere.

Delon, you're the man. When your team has the ball with a chance to win the game, it's gonna be up to you, big guy. It's gotta be. Here's hoping that Delon takes control of each game they play in the PAC 12 tourney, especially in the final seconds. He has the skills, as confirmed by the PAC 12. Now go get 'r done, DW! Go Delon! Go Utes!

Good for him. He is a good player and deserves it. Hopefully for the U basketball team he doesn't declare early for the NBA draft and forego his senior year though. That would greatly hurt the quality of the U's team next year. And probably make it so next year they don't have any all Pac 12 players.

Best player in the state, and nearly ever commentator I've heard says he'll be in the NBA one day. Unbelievable award and well deserved.

    March 10, 2014 2:02 p.m.

Congrats, Delon. Really a great player, I have a feeling we'll continue watching him for years to come.

Wow! First team all pac-12! Incredible!

Add in the defensive award, and you can see why we love watching this guy. It seems like every well in the pac-12 the utes face an incredible point guard, or two. Congrats to Wright!

    Go Utes!
