Comcast is incredibly good at scaling innovation throughout its network,” wrote Brake. “The efficiencies that would come with a merger can’t be ignored — scaled innovation is certainly one of them."

    So the reason that America has one of the slowest and most expensive (for consumers) internet infrastructures in the world isn't because your self regulation leads to an oligarchical lack of competition and innovation resulting in higher prices and lower service all while you pocket government subsidies that are meant to be used to improve infrastructure . It's because you aren't monopolistic enough.
