Paul Milsap has improved every year he has played! A rookie who Jerry Sloan felt comfortable giving meaningful minutes. I thought it was a mistake to let him go. The Jazz need veteran leadership. RJ and Marvin have been great but Paul is someone the younger Jazz players looked up to. He has a great work ethic and still has upside in abilities. I thought he was and is better than Boozer. I'd take Paul every time over Boozer. I'm glad he is getting the recognition he has deserved for years in the NBA!

Millsap is a good dude, a hard worker, and a good teammate. I watched him for years though and he did struggle against some bigs inside.

He put up similar stats here ( a few years ago) for the Jazz as he is in Atlanta. The reality is though that the all star competition is weaker in the East. The teams are also very weak out East this season.

The Hawks have a losing record and they are currently the 5th playoff seed!!! What a joke.

All that being said I honestly think Millsap would have been a better 4 to go with Favors. I have serious doubts that Favors and Kanter can play together often enough (certain matchups only) to make that duo viable long term. With the way Millsap can stretch the floor and still play inside well enough they would have been an ideal

The dilemma would be though that in 3-4 years when are young guys are getting serious about winning Millsap would then be 35ish and then you have alot of money in a guy past his prime.

    Just an unfortunate timing situation.

Congrats to Millsap getting to the allstar game.

Too bad the coaching staff were so hung up on "Big Al" here. Millsap could have flourished here with the "young guy's". My heck he's even nailing three pointers now. Wish that he and Favors could have had more opportunity on the floor together.
